AYSO 479
Welcome to AYSO Region 479
Tehachapi, California Home of Planes, Trains, and Windmills
Welcome to AYSO region 479's home page. We are happy to have you visiting our web site. Our region has over 850 players and 75 teams, almost all them coed. Tehachapi is located in the southern end of the Sierra Nevada mountains. We are approximately 50 miles east of Bakersfield Ca., 100 miles north of the Los Angeles area. Tehachapi is known for the Tehachapi Loop ( a significant railroad engineering feat), wind turbine farms (providing a important clean clergy source), apples, and a state correctional facility. Near by is Edwards Air Force Base, a major area employer. We have approximately 30,000 people spread across three valleys.

A Message from our League Commissioner
Soccer Players, Parents and Fans!
It is once again time to start thinking about Tehachapi AYSO soccer!
The board and I have already started planning the new season. We attended the annual tri-sectional conference in Ontario, CA in February and got some great training and new ideas to help our kids and region grow.
Saturday Registration dates are April 18th, May 2nd and May 16th 9am-2pm. We are also planning to have a week long evening registration starting on the 27th of Apr to 1st of May from 4pm to 6pm. More info to follow.
I would like to see our region grow this year. I hope to have all of our families return. Spread the word to your friends too.
Look forward to hearing from you!
John Buckley
